About the Art
Our interactions are connections, varying at different levels and degrees. As interactions become more frequent, the connection becomes stronger. As it grows, it’s hard to tell where one individual ends and the other begins, and it forms an energetic bond at the level of light and color. This piece is a bird’s eye view of a strong connection between two people, as depicted with bold accents of light yellow and gold. Each swirled center represents a person, with the extension of color bands representing the connections between the ‘swirled people.’ In the background are smaller—but still meaningful—centers where, again, it is hard to determine where one ends and another begins. I see life’s connections as being important for challenge, growth, purpose, and community.
