About the Art
Human vision is a remarkable thing. I love images that are not initially what they seem, or those that trick the connection between our eyes and brain.

A style I am constantly drawn to is the dissection and reconstruction of visual images using grids and tiles. I enjoy experimenting with real world objects and arranging them to create an image that is more than the sum of its parts. I love the way changing light plays on the different levels, hiding the image in some light and revealing it in others. I strive to incorporate materials that relate to my subject and love the tactility of working with three dimensional objects with my hands. The effort and time involved to create a piece is substantial, however, the creative journey and end result are worth it; a beautiful one of a kind art piece that will be here long after I am gone.

My main mission as an artist is to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. I try to bring awareness of interesting issues to the surface, but ultimately, I let the individual decide what the piece means to them. Just as with many things with life, I like that depending on the proximity of the viewer and the type of light on the subject, people will see things quite differently.
