About the Artist
Roldy Aguero Ablao is a queer, mixed race CHamoru artist from the island of Guahan (Guam). They are inspired by the stories and myths of the Oceania, weaving in themes of memory and renewal as an underlying foundation for their practice. They currently work at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience in Seattle, working in exhibitions and youth education. They like cats, thrift shopping and social justice.
