Ivy Weaving with Celeste Whitewolf

  • Indigenous Creatives Collective 9674 51st Avenue South Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

Join us for the art of weaving and conservation with Elder Celeste Whitewolf (Confederated Tribes of Umatilla)! This FREE two-day workshop will teach you how to use an invasive plant in a useful craft.

June 7, 10 am - 2 pm, help us pull and process ivy for weaving.
June 8, 10 am - 4 pm, weave small baskets with the prepared vines.

📍 Location: Indigenous Creatives Collective at 9674 51st Ave S.

This event is open to all, and while it's best suited for adults with strong hands ready to work with a tough plant, no experience is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and a small knife! We'll provide all tools and food, so come learn, create, and help restore the land through art.
