Kinship Circles with Britt Rynearson

  • Indigenous Creatives Collective 9674 51st Avenue South Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

September 7th, join artist Britt Rynearson for a workshop to create small hanging sculptures using land-based materials like cedar, juniper, abalone, and buffalo bone beads. Thread beads onto wire to create circles of various sizes that orbit within and around each other. While we sit together, participants will be invited to share stories about their kinship circles. The resulting objects will hold our shared stories and move when hanging in space, dynamically and beautifully.

- Free!
- Supplies and lunch provided
- Open to all, ages 10+

Register to save your spot at bit.ly/kinship-circles. Feel free to bring some special beads or an object you might want to include in your sculpture.
