Hands on The Land

Join yəhaw̓ Indigenous Creatives Collective for a fun community Hands on The Land workday. Many hands on the land make light work, and we have lots to do to get the land ready for spring and summer activities.

What to Expect:
🌱Focused creek restoration activities, including pulling ivy, hauling wood chips to the pathways and clearing, and planting nettle and wapato along the creek area.

🌱Metamimcry, A local nonprofit organization that specializes in harnessing the power of mushrooms and fungi to heal our environment, will host a water-cleaning art activity.

🌱After working hard, we will all enjoy a delicious lunch catered by Jeremy Thunderbird of Native Soul Cuisine and sit around the fire pit to enjoy s'mores!

This paid workday offers a $100 stipend (virtual payment or gift card only) for a limited number of spots—RSVP is required through our Eventbrite link at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hands-on-the-land-tickets-1295210502479?aff=oddtdtcreator.

We are grateful to our funders, WRIA8/LINK2LAKE and King County Flood Reduction Grant, for supporting this event—a heartfelt thank you to Juan Pena for assisting with planning and translations.
